These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Jira Query Agent, an AI-powered Jira assistant developed by Optimus Information Inc., accessible via Microsoft Teams. By using the Jira Query Agent, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Jira Query Agent, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you are using the Jira Query Agent on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Description of Service

The Jira Query Agent is an AI-powered Microsoft Teams chatbot that connects to Jira Cloud to retrieve issue data based on natural language queries.

The service includes the following capabilities:

  • Secure authentication with Jira Cloud via Microsoft Teams

  • Translation of natural language queries into Jira Query Language (JQL)

  • Retrieval and display of Jira issue data in Microsoft Teams

  • Support for filtering based on projects, status, assignee, and sprints

  • Read-only access with no write operations or data modifications

The features of the Jira Query Agent may evolve as the product is enhanced, and some capabilities may be added, updated, or deprecated over time.

License and Access

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Optimus Information Inc. grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the Jira Query Agent for internal, non-commercial, and authorized business purposes.

You may not:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract any AI models, orchestration logic, or prompt templates

  • Use the service in ways that violate applicable laws, regulations, or your organization’s policies

  • Copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the Jira Query Agent without prior written consent from Optimus Information Inc.

User Responsibilities

You agree that you are responsible for:

  • All activities conducted under your Microsoft Teams account when using the Jira Query Agent

  • Authenticating securely with your Jira account and granting necessary read-only permissions

  • Submitting only appropriate and lawful query inputs

  • Ensuring compliance with your organization’s security and data management policies

  • Reviewing all AI-generated outputs before using them in reports or decision-making processes

Your use of this agent is also subject to Microsoft’s Terms of Use for Teams and Atlassian’s Terms of Use for Jira Cloud.

Privacy

Your use of the Jira Query Agent is governed by our Privacy Policy.

All Jira data accessed through the service is processed and displayed within your organization’s Microsoft Teams environment. Optimus Information Inc. does not store, sell, rent, or share your personal or organizational Jira data with third parties.

Intellectual Property

All components of the Jira Query Agent—including prompt logic, orchestration workflows, AI configurations, and software code—are the exclusive intellectual property of Optimus Information Inc.

All rights are reserved unless explicitly granted under these Terms.

Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas related to the Jira Query Agent, you grant Optimus Information Inc. a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, modify, and incorporate that feedback into the product without obligation or compensation.

Termination

Optimus may suspend or terminate your access to the Jira Query Agent at any time if:

  • You violate these Terms

  • You pose a security or compliance risk

  • The service is discontinued or materially modified

Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Jira Query Agent is provided “as is” and “as available.”

While we strive for reliability and accuracy, Optimus does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, or that all generated results will be complete, accurate, or suitable for business decisions.

Users are responsible for reviewing and validating all AI-generated outputs before using them in production or compliance-sensitive contexts.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Optimus Information Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from or related to the use or inability to use the Jira Query Agent, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically.

If significant changes occur, users will be notified via Microsoft Teams or email. Continued use of the Jira Query Agent following such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
