More organizations are now adopting the Agile software development approach and are moving away from traditional software development models, such as the Waterfall model. Along with this shift, the role of tester has evolved as well. In Agile, expectations from a tester are no longer limited to testing, and testers are required to be active, contributing team members during the entire duration of iteration. These additional roles and responsibilities may be overwhelming but, in reality, this change can be really empowering for testers.
In this presentation, we will talk about:
- Role of testers in Waterfall software development vs. Agile software development
- How the Agile framework can be empowering for testers
- Common challenges faced by testers
